The scientific advisory board

The scientific advisory board is a consultative body whose task is to recommend scientific guidelines for the Mercator programme. In particular, the scientific advisory board draws up recommendations for the Board of Administration on:

• scientific orientations for the programme,
• the scientific validity and relevance of products made by the GIP,
• the scientific linking between GIP actions and those of other related programmes and other components of observation systems.

The President of the scientific advisory board is Pierre Brasseur.
